In recent years, due to various causes, particularly the effects of global climate change, the weather has changed intricately and natural disasters have tendes to occur more frequently and severely in our country, especcially in the central coastal provinces. These provinces have been affected very often by severe typhoons and floods and have suffered extensive damage.

Natural disasters have caused the people of Central Viet Nam to face severe hardships and losses, and increasingly have hindered sustainable development of the central region and thus the entire country. Preventing typhoons, floods and other disasters and overcoming their consequences are an urgent mission of the Party, authorities and citizens of the central provinces and also a collective responsibility of the population of  the whole country.

During the last two years, the Central Viet Nam Disaster Prevention Support Fund (QMT) has made many active contributions to relieving pains and reducing damages induced by natural disasters. These are effective actions that must be praiseworthy.

I appeal to both national and foreign benefactors to actively respond to QMT Administration Council’s initiative and to help it enable to implement more effective activities to be worthy of a reliable bridge between the citizens of the central region and those who wholeheartedly share with, and support our beloved Central Viet Nam.

Sincerely!
