MISSION

The central Viet Nam disaster prevention Support Fund is a non-government and non-profit organization aiming at:

• Assisting the people of central coastal provinces from Thanh Hoa to Binh Thuan in preventing typhoon, flood and other disasters. Reducing their damages, and overcoming the consequences;
• Funding social, humannitarian, and other charitable programs and project.

COURSE OF ACTION

• Constructign flood-proof community structures (more than one storey schools. Healthcare centers & cultural houses in flood-prone areas);
• Planting and protrcting forests (developing patterns of terrestrial and coatal protective forests and nurseries);
• Improving local disaster prevention knowledge and capacities;
• Providing rescue facilities for rescue taskforces at village/commune levels;
• Planning the resettlement of disaster-prone residential areas;
• Taking part in providing relief.

   

• Reducing damages caused by typhoon, flood and other disasters; and
• Living safely with typhoons and floods.
